BIO: Robert B. CharlickRobert Charlick is a professor of Political Science and International Relations at Cleveland State University. He is a graduate of Hiram College (AB), Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (MALD), and University of California at Los Angeles (PhD). He also earned a certificate from Ecole National des Sciences Politiques in Paris, France. Bob has been a Peace activist since the early 1960s and was a founder of one of the early student peace groups in North East Ohio, the Student Peace Union, as a student at Hiram College. Dr Charlick is currently on the Board of Cleveland Peace Action and regularly writes for its newsletter. He is a co-author of its policy statement on Real Security. Dr Charlick has done extensive research and consulting in West Africa and was the Senior Governance Advisor to the Africa Bureau of USAID (United States Agency for International Development) from 1991 to 1994 under the administrations of Presidents George Bush and William Clinton.
