NOAC Statement of Purpose

Northeast Ohio Anti-War Coalition [NOAC]

Current revisions finalized 9/13/07

The Northeast Ohio Anti-War Coalition (NOAC) is a network of groups and individuals focused on stopping pre-emptive, unjust, illegal, and/or unconstitutional wars and occupations as instruments of US foreign or economic policy. It seeks to bring together a broad number of organizations and individuals for the purpose of organizing mass, visible events of a peaceful character. By doing so, NOAC seeks to:

  1. Educate the public regarding the U.S. government's attempt to utilize such pre-emptive, unjust, illegal and/or unconstitutional wars and occupations to advance its goal of building an empire which controls other nations and their resources all across the globe.
  2. Continually expand its organizational and individual base.
  3. Attract positive media attention, and create our own media by speaking truth to power.
  4. Empower independent political action and lobby, influence, pressure and advocate to oppose pre-emptive, unjust, illegal and/or unconstitutional wars and occupations as an instrument of US foreign or economic policy.

NOAC will not compete with existing groups. NOAC can promote, publicize, announce or endorse events and activities of other anti-war groups. NOAC will use all raised funds to support NOAC activities. NOAC is open to all who support this statement of purpose.
